National Transportation Stakeholders Forum (NTSF): The NTSF website provides members and participants of the NTSF with information about upcoming and past meetings, webinars, and other relevant information related to DOE radioactive waste transportation.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)
State Hazardous Materials Transportation - Registration and Permitting: At least 27 states and the District of Columbia, plus one federally recognized tribe—the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin—have laws addressing a variety of issues related to the shipment of radioactive materials, including permitting, registration, and fee structures.
Stakeholder Tool for Assessing Radioactive Transport (START): This is a web-based geographic information system (GIS) tool that enables users to visualize more than 50 data layers relevant to radioactive materials transportation planning, including modal options, transportation infrastructure conditions, and emergency response assets. The tool also allows users to evaluate potential transportation routes by highway, rail, waterway, or multiple modes and incorporation of geotagged imagery from nuclear power plant site infrastructure evaluations. START is currently for government (federal, state, tribal) use only.
